Project Name: Development of an Interactive Voice Response System for Weather Forecast.
- We developed a platform of IVR that helps registered farmers to know about weather forecasting and take necessary steps for their crops.
- We develop two types of IVR calls:
- Incoming, user calls from register number and play menu-based IVR.
- Outgoing, the system generates a call and plays weather forecast for register number only.
- The client requirement was IVR incoming & and outgoing calls only generated for registered numbers.
- The system will deploy/broadcast voice calls when there might be rainfall (light, heavy, or very heavy rain within 4/5 days)
- If there is no rain for 4/5 consecutive days, then every 2/3 days later the system will deploy a voice call with no rainfall information.
- The client wants to broadcast Outgoing voice calls from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM to inform weather forecast to their register numbers.
- The broadcasting outgoing voice call duration deployed a minimum of 40 sec. to a maximum of 80 sec.
- The client was required to repeat the outgoing voice call 2 times maximum; we successfully developed the IVR system as per requirements.
- Registered farmers can call the system and listen to the weather forecast message unlimited times at their own cost.
